This specialization prioritizes hands-on learning. Throughout this 18-month program, you鈥檒l spend about 80% of your time engaged in instructor-led hands-on projects, providing invaluable real-world experience. Numerous career opportunities await, encompassing roles such as software developer, computer programmer, database administrator, web developer, mobile application developer, and IT consultant, among others.
Looking Ahead
Our graduates also have the option to take advantage of articulation agreements with in-state and out-of-state universities, which means when a student graduates with a two-year Associate of Applied Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Lake Area Tech, they can transition to the university with two years of study that will count towards their four-year bachelor鈥檚 degree!
